Serratia marcescens ACE2, was isolated from an Indian Diesel transporting pipeline (Rajasekar et al., 2007). Basic biochemical tests were performed to validate that the organism to be a coliform of the family Enterobacteriaceae. Ribosomal RNA gene (16S rDNA) was amplified and sequenced to identify the organism (Rajesekar et al., 2007).
